• Held the UFC flyweight championship from 2018 to 2023 with seven successful defences, then lost and regained the belt against Alexa Grasso, becoming champion again in September 2024.
• Defended the title against Manon Fiorot at UFC 315 in Montreal in May 2025.
• Defended it again against strawweight champion Zhang Weili at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden on 15 November 2025, winning a one-sided unanimous decision with all three judges scoring it 50-45.

Fight craft

Shevchenko is the most technically precise striker in women’s MMA: a Muay Thai base that shows in her clinch work and counter timing, coupled with elite takedown defence and a habit of solving opponents inside two rounds. The Zhang fight was a clinic — she out-struck a champion moving up in weight and physically handled her in the clinch. Her one real vulnerability has historically been size against genuinely larger opponents, which is why the flyweight division rather than bantamweight has been her home.
