Fighter Profile: Ramazan Temirov
Ramazan Temirov: Uzbek UFC flyweight — record, karate-based striking and anti-doping suspension.
Background
Uzbekistani flyweight fighting under the nickname “Temurlan”, with a karate-rooted striking style. He is 3-0 inside the UFC with two post-fight bonuses; published sources differ slightly on his overall professional record, so we have not fixed a single figure here.
Career timeline
- Fought on the Asian regional circuit before signing with the UFC, arriving on a long winning streak.
- Made his UFC debut on 12 October 2024 in Las Vegas, stopping CJ Vergara with first-round punches.
- Won his first three UFC bouts, earning two post-fight bonuses.
- Accepted a 12-month suspension from Combat Sports Anti-Doping after testing positive for trimetazidine in two out-of-competition samples collected in Phuket, Thailand, on 12 June and 4 July 2025. CSAD accepted that the drug had been prescribed by a doctor for a medical condition and taken briefly, but that he had not checked the prohibited list.
- The suspension was applied retroactively and he became eligible to return on 5 July 2026.
Fight craft
Temirov’s striking comes out of a karate base: long entries, sharp straight punches and a high finishing rate — around 60 per cent of his wins have come by knockout. In three UFC appearances he has looked comfortable at the promotion’s pace. That is also the honest caveat: three fights is a small sample against ranked opposition, and his grappling has not been seriously tested at this level.
In the modern MMA landscape
Our wider MMA analysis lists Temirov in its anti-doping table, and the details there — trimetazidine, twelve months, eligible 5 July 2026 — are accurate. What the table does not convey is the finding behind it: CSAD accepted the substance was prescribed for a medical condition, which places this in a different category from a deliberate performance-enhancing violation.
